I am back from LA and I had a really good time. I haven’t updated in a while, so this is going to be a long entry with pictures. Hey, I warned you.
On Wednesday I decided to go to San Jose to visit some high school friends because I got a call saying a few girls were going to meet there. It was so nice seeing them, some of whom I haven’t seen since graduation! Here are a few pictures we took after telling stories and reminiscing about our all girls, boarding school days.
I had to wake up at 5:30 to drive back to davis for class. After my class I packed for my trip to LA with Allison. We drove down and I tried to keep her awake. On Friday we went to the South Coast Plaza, where we met up with Allison! I haven’t seen her since graduation either, so it was so nice to see her! After a nice lunch and walking around, we drove back to the first Allison’s house and went out to dinner.
two allison’s at once, woah! (I know, I’m a loser)
this is the ugliest picture of me ever since I am laughing and I have some shit on my lips from a store we went into.
On Saturday we drove to Huntington Beach and tanned and went in the water. I had originally planned on going in up to my waist, but apparently the ocean didn’t feel the same way, because I ended up getting totally clobbered by a wave, going straight to the sandy ocean floor and getting soaked. Luckily the water was nice, so it wasn’t so bad after all. We walked around the shops and got henna tattoos! I have always wanted to get one!
On Saturday night we went to a party and had a pretty nice time. Typical so cal if you ask me; all the clothes were Abercrombie, Hollister, American eagle, etc. One girl had a pocket dog with her. yeah.
We went to bed, and I guess I got a call in the middle of the night, and when Allison tried to wake me up she couldn’t, so she thought I was dead. I guess I am quite the heavy sleeper after parties sometimes.
Sunday we went shopping with Allison’s mom and visited her aunt and then her grandpa. Later we… oh wait. That was Saturday before we went to the beach. Right, ok, so on Sunday we drove to San Diego to visit Allison’s friend. We went to a nice coffee shop (called the living room) and then walked around downtown la jolla. It was a nice day, I love the ocean! After that, we drove to Pasadena and ate at Hooters, where one of Allison’s friend’s (apostrophes… ok?) works. It was my first time there, so that was fun. The girl hosting was 17 and she sat at our table for a good twenty minutes, invited us to go to the beach with her, go to a party with her, etc. hmm, I guess she doesn’t have too many friends or she is just super friendly.
oh, then the friend, Jacki, took Allison and said it was her birthday, so she had to stand on a chair and dance while they did a little song.

I ate so much this weekend, oof. Monday we drove home, and that’s about it. I warned you it was long! Now I have to stop procrastinating, because I have a 50 point o-chem quiz tomorrow, yuck.

I am living it up in davis this summer, taking summer school and trying to find a job. Lately I have been looking back at old entries and reading my old journal. It's amazing how much I have changed. But some things are still the same, sadly. I am not so immature, or at least I hope, but I still do want some of the same things from life. I am not boy crazy, but I do wish I had a boyfriend. I am truly surprised I made it through Catalina, because in my journal I was always stressed, sad, angry, etc. But I guess that's when people are most likely to write in journals. I also wrote when I was having the best times. I really did have some good times there, but it came along with such disadvantages. Strict rules like woah, and no boys. That right there is enough to put someone overboard. But I made it, and I am not completely off my rocker, although some might say I am, I think the majority of people think I turned out alright. We'll see...

As I look at the map on my web site, it's not the same that I posted. I haven't been to the countries shown. I guess... I don't know what happened there. (((nevermind! I fixed it!)))
Anyway, I haven't posted here in ages. I keep my life updates in my livejournal, so that explains why. I used to cross post, but I honestly don't think anyone looks here anyway. Since there are no comment boxes, there is no way to tell.
Life has been quite the rollercoaster lately. I go through stages of pure happiness where I can't stop laughing (even when nothing is funny) and then I will be uber depressed. There may be an explanation, but sometimes not.
Anyway, we'll see about this web site.

our garbage disposal had been broken for about a week or so. we finally got around to calling the office, so some guy came and fixed it and it turns out that the problem was that there was a bottle cap stuck in it. our party was a while ago, but the memory lives on forever through the carpet stain and now this! i think we are planning for another party when we get back from vacation. no "ucd party scene" this time, and hopefully no cops or fine either.

it feels good to be a second year. i walk around and i recognize so many people. it is weird because i feel like a lot of times i recognize people, but they don't seem to recognize me. i wonder if some people walking around recognize me and i don't recognize them... i guess i will never know.
i had such a great time on friday! first theta xi and then on to sae. i saw so many people i knew and met a ton of people that i have seen around but did not ever meet. yay for a good weekend, boo to a week of classes.

so i went to the dentist today and they numbed half of my face. i am just now getting the feeling back to normal... 4 hours later! it's all good, though. it's wednesday, and that means only a few more days until i go to davis on the 16th. yay for going to davis and moving into the apartment!
i think i am finished with work, so i better go see any movies i can before i quit. i think it would be really fun to just go in there and yell "i quit," but maybe i shouldn't, since i might work on holidays. tonight i go out to dinner with the grandparents and brother...

thun-a-der and light-e-ning
there was a thunderstorm today. i really love thunder and lightning and pouring rain. it happened to be right when i was supposed to register for classes. lost the satellite connection right at my pass time, but luckily we have the slow, dial-up connection as a back-up.
i saw my cat throw up yesterday. three times.
oh, the other day we had the lady that gave us our dog come to our door with her sister and her sister's daughter. i guess the latter are from la and they didn't get to say goodbye to the dog. they wanted the dog back, but decicded since we have had it for so long that we could keep it. they stayed at our house for 2 hours, just chatting. kind of random sharing life stories with complete strangers.

i had the best time at work today. i closed tonight with some really cool people (all guys of course, haha). It totally makes work more fun if cool people are working with you.
sheryl has gone from sad to happy!
some highlights of the night: ~ lighter + non-cling spray = torch. one guy set a broom on fire ~ guy at taco bell gave me three taco's instead of the one i ordered, and everyone in the back yelled happy birthday to me (i knew none of them) ~ i got hit on a lot today even though the theatre was practically empty today ~ i worked with all the coolest guys!

so today i had to go to a potluck with my mom and she made me speak in spanish with some old lady i didn't know. i also have to strip the wallpaper in the bathrooms and paint them before i go back to davis (i guess that was the incentive to get me to do it)
the guy from work that likes me called again but his friends from sf are visiting and they are going out in the city of redding to the bars. boo for being 19 and not 21. but i don't like him so i guess i don't want to give him the wrong impression. not my type.

dance like a rock star
so the other day I was working until 11. we lock the doors at 10:40 or so, and that's when we clear out the video game area. and guess who walks in... one of the managers, on his day off, came to the theatre just to play ddr. now that's hard core and just plain scary to me. plus, he was wearing a muscle shirt (cut off sleeves). eek!
oh, if you ever want to hear the worst song ever, which i have to hear a couple times a day (go movie tunes!), listen to "just because" by soshi.

last night i saw the 60 minutes presentation on the scandal of dr. moon, a doctor in redding who performed unnecassary heart procedures for the money. it is sad that redding got on the map because of this, but oh well. we got so many calls from friends around the country when that first aired asking if we knew him and all.
i have noticed an abundance of ads lately for weight loss. on the radio, television, in magazines, it's truly everywhere! it kind of bugs me, but maybe it is for the better? i just don't know. i can't think right because i am so damn hot!
